Responsibilities
- Teach sewing techniques including hand sewing, machine sewing, garment assembly, and finishing methods.
- Instruct students in pattern making, including drafting, pattern manipulation, and pattern adjustments.
- Demonstrate how to create patterns for different garment types (skirts, dresses, trousers, tops, etc.).
- Guide students in fabric cutting, measuring, and garment fitting.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and practical exercises.
- Supervise students during workshops and practical sessions.
- Provide feedback on students’ projects and support skill development.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of sewing machines and workshop tools.
- Stay updated with modern techniques and industry trends .
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, or Garment Construction.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sewing, pattern making, or fashion production.
- Experience in teaching or training students is preferred.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of pattern drafting, garment construction, and fabric types.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and practically.
